It is a very sad day for all of us today, after several weeks of suffering Roger WB8ZEE passed away around 1pm today. below is the obituary that was written.
Roger Allen Formhals, 64, turned in his truck keys March 17, 2010, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was active up until the last 4 weeks of his life, keeping those wheels turning on the highway. Roger was born July 10, 1945, in Fulton County, Illinois, to Clark and Betty Formhals. He graduated from Cuba High School and then went on to marry Sharon Pletcher on August 14, 1965. They lived together in the Youngstown, Ohio, area for the last thirty-nine years. Roger kept a good book in his back pocket and a talk show on the radio. He was known worldwide and loved by his amateur radio friends as WB8ZEE. If you needed anything, he was always ready and willing to help. Roger was preceded in death by his parents.
